Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. is seeking a Dry Etch Principal Process Development Engineer to advance and optimize plasma dry etch processes for next‑generation memory parts.

You will lead from conception through development to integration in production facilities, guiding technology roadmaps and interfacing with multiple engineering groups. The role emphasizes robust etch processes that meet demanding physical and electrical requirements, strong data analysis, and proven problem‑solving abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, materials science, or a related field.
• At least 7 years of experience in dry etch process development or related area.
• Strong understanding of plasma etch fundamentals and reactor operation.
• Experience with experimental design, data analysis, and problem solving.
• Ability to work across teams and communicate technical results clearly.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine dry etch processes for advanced DRAM structures.
• Collaborate with process integration and other process development teams to develop innovative new solutions.
• Perform root cause and failure mode analysis on process and hardware limitations.
• Design experiments and analyze data to improve capability and yield.
• Support process transfer from development to manufacturing.
