Job summary

Tessera is seeking a detail-oriented Dry Dock Inspector in Silverdale, WA to conduct routine inspections, assess material conditions, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance for Dry Dock facilities and supporting systems. You will lead maintenance planning and collaborate with the team to uphold industry standards.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in marine facilities or related field and 5–8 years of relevant experience, with strong knowledge of UFC/MIL NAVFAC guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marine Facilities and Graving Docks or closely related field.
• 5-8 years of experience in Marine Maintenance or related field.
• Strong understanding of graving dock systems and maintenance practices.
• Knowledge of UFC, MIL Standards, and NAVFAC P-Documents.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections of buildings, equipment, and systems for maintenance needs and safety hazards.
• Maintain accurate records of findings and recommended repairs.
• Develop and prioritize maintenance plans with the team per specifications.
• Assist in preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and policies.
• Maintain and track discrepancies using a CMMS.
• Provide detailed inspection reports with corrective actions and timelines.
• Train junior staff on inspection techniques and safety protocols.
