Job summary

A.W. Cleaners is seeking a reliable Dry-Cleaning Attendant/Customer Service Representative to join our team. You will handle cleaning, pressing, and folding laundry, and ensure safe operation of laundry equipment to keep linens and towels in top condition.

You will greet customers, process drop-offs and pickups, and maintain front-desk organization and records. The role includes offering additional services and maintaining a professional environment for guests.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as laundry attendant, housekeeper, or cleaner.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Friendly, customer-oriented and detail-focused.

Responsibilities

• Fold laundry, towels, and linens.
• Track maintenance and repairs of laundering equipment.
• Ensure facility cleanliness at all times.
• Provide friendly, professional customer service at drop-offs/pickups.
• Maintain inventory of laundry supplies and restock as needed.
• Operate dry-cleaning machines and related equipment safely and efficiently.
• Inspect garments for stains and fabric type before cleaning.
• Treat stains with appropriate chemicals and pre-spotting techniques.
• Sort and tag clothing by customer info and cleaning needs.
• Ensure proper garment finishing including steaming, pressing, and folding.
• Maintain records of garments received, processed, and returned.
• Follow safety procedures for chemicals and equipment.
• Perform minor repairs such as button replacement or seam fixing.
• Upsell services when appropriate.
