Job summary

ITCON Services is seeking a Sr. Drupal Developer to lead technical teams and drive Drupal upgrades and migrations across projects.

The ideal candidate will migrate from Drupal 7 to 8 and 9, provide architecture and module development, and mentor junior members in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• BS degree or related field preferred and relevant experience.
• 8+ years of Drupal (7/8/9) and PHP experience.
• Migration experience Drupal 7→8→9.
• Full stack development and Drupal front-end theming.
• 5+ years leading development in a team.
• Experience with SQL (MySQL/MSSQL).
• Experience with Docker and CDN tech (Akamai).
• CI/CD and modern SDLC practices.

Overview

ITCON Services is seeking to hire a motivated and knowledgeable Sr. Drupal Developer to join our team. The Sr. Drupal Developer will work in a technical leadership capacity with multiple teams of developers in a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate should be able to multi-thread work in different customer environments. The candidate should have experience in migrating sites from Drupal 7 to Drupal 8 and to Drupal 9.

Responsibilities

• Lead deliverables, including: Drupal upgrades and migrations; system design and architecture; custom module development and implementation; issue resolution and troubleshooting; operations and maintenance tasks.
• Mentor junior team members, contribute to technical solutions across multiple projects, and provide input on technical proposals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, candidates with Engineering, Computer Science, MIS or related field preferred
• 8+ years of experience with Drupal (including 7x and 8x) and PHP
• Migration experience from Drupal 7 to Drupal 8 and to Drupal 9
• Full stack development experience, including experience with Drupal front end theming
• 5+ years leading development efforts working in a team environment
• Experience with Microsoft SQL or MySQL
• Experience using Docker
• Akamai and other CDN technology
• Integration experience in SiteImprove and SOLR
• Experience deploying on Linux environment
• Experience with configuration management tools
• Expert level understanding of SDLC and development best practices
• Ability to communicate and present complex technical concepts and analysis to technical and non-technical audiences
• Strong oral and written communications skills
• Demonstrated attention to detail
• Proven time management skills to ensure that tasks and documents are delivered according to schedule
• Works well in a team environment
