PlanIT Group is seeking a Drupal Administrator/Developer for our Federal customer in the Washington, DC area. The ideal candidate will design, develop, test, modify, document, install, and maintain Drupal modules and web applications on the client websites. Customize and extend existing Drupal modules and themes along with developing and implementing new modules and themes. Develop and maintain applications using Drupal 8 backend development. Develop new or customize existing themes: knowledge of existing themes, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks.

Our US Government client is seeking a Drupal Administrator/Developer to support a website used by a global customer base. The qualified applicant will work with our client's program that maintains a medical terminology used globally by health authorities and the biopharmaceutical industry.

Roles And Responsibilities
  • Learn and understand the client's business process as they relate to the client website, specifically training, events, and the subscription process.
  • Meet with website stakeholders to determine their needs, schedule, and recommendations for website development and administration.
  • Work with our system administrator and other developers to host websites designed and developed in Creative Services.
  • Design, develop, test, modify, document, install, and maintain Drupal modules and web applications on the client website.
  • Customize and extend existing Drupal modules and themes, and develop new ones.
  • Develop and maintain applications using Drupal 8 backend development.
  • Develop new or customize existing themes, with knowledge of themes, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks.
  • Troubleshoot module patch fixes, customizations, and upgrades.
  • Implement testing mechanisms for Drupal websites.
  • Perform testing of the website, related software, tools, and hardware to validate their applicability and value.
  • Other software projects may be assigned.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and 5 years' experience in software development or 8 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • At least 3+ years of experience in Drupal web application development and architecture.
  • Full-stack LAMP developer with knowledge of server setup and configuration.
  • Experience with custom Drupal development and WCMS implementation.
  • Proficiency in Drupal, including custom module development, contributed modules, and core API.
  • Experience with creating views, taxonomy vocabularies, block configuration, and building navigation systems.
  • Ability to create and configure content types, manage databases (MSSQL, MySQL), and build RESTful web applications.
  • Proficiency in Angular or C#.
  • Experience with Linux server management, Drupal multi-site configurations, DNS, and front-end coding (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
  • Experience with version control systems like Git or SVN.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Must be a Green Card Holder or US Citizen.
  • Familiarity with agile/scrum, Microsoft DevOps, JIRA, and office tools.
Additional Provisions
  • Ability to obtain a Position of Public Trust Clearance.
  • Pass client-mandated clearance including drug, criminal, and credit checks.
  • U.S. citizenship and residence in the U.S. for the past 5 years.
  • No more than 6 months travel outside the U.S. in the past five years, military service excluded.
