Job summary

School of Rock in Glen Allen, Virginia, is seeking a Music Instructor to deliver engaging lessons across keys, vocals, guitar, bass, and drums, and to inspire students through live performances and shows.

You will design thoughtful lesson plans, teach fundamentals, and document student progress, while maintaining strong communication with parents and participating in rehearsals and school activities.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience teaching and/or performing music professionally.
• Knowledge of music theory and curriculum design.
• Excellent ability to deal with a wide range of customers and people.

Responsibilities

• Maximize the quality of music instruction including private lessons and shows.
• Ensure students learn fundamentals, not just songs.
• Create and document thoughtful lesson plans.
• Communicate regularly with parents on progress of students.
• Interact with parents and students in school and during rehearsals.
