Job summary

Bach to Rock is seeking a part-time Music Teacher (Drums) at our Long Beach location to provide engaging drum lessons using the B2R curriculum. You will teach private and semi-private sessions, create a positive learning environment, and help students prepare for band participation and performances.

We value experienced performers, youth-oriented teachers, and strong communicators who can manage time and adapt in a busy setting.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates understanding of music concepts and can explain them to students (suitable for drums).
• Advanced music theory knowledge relevant to the instrument.
• Strong time management and organization to keep lessons on task.
• Experience performing, solo or with groups, and working with youth or beginner musicians.

Responsibilities

• Teach private and semi-private drum lessons using B2R curriculum and cover song arrangements.
• Create an encouraging, fun, and focused lesson atmosphere.
• Assess a student’s readiness to join a band or ensemble.
• Assist at school events and activities.
