Job summary

Arts Academy in Wilsonville is seeking a talented drum teacher to join our team. In this role you’ll teach 30-minute lessons, prepare students for recitals, and help them reach their goals in a supportive, music-loving environment.

Our admin handles scheduling, marketing, and billing, while you focus on teaching. Benefits, flexible scheduling, and ongoing training are provided; opportunities to perform and participate in community events are available.

Qualifications

• Interpersonal skills to connect with students of all ages and abilities.
• Degree in music education or performance not required but a plus.
• Ability to demonstrate teaching and instrument skills during interview.
• Open to first-time and experienced teachers alike.
• Commit to teaching for at least 1 year with Arts Academy.
• Ability to teach multiple instruments (piano, guitar, voice, ukulele, violin, cello, drums, etc.).
• Submit a music-specific resume.

Responsibilities

• Instructing students for 30 minute lessons.
• Assessing new student abilities and planning lessons.
• Creating structured lesson plans.
• Preparing students for recitals and performances.
• Facilitating student participation in recitals.
• Helping students reach learning goals.
• Communicating progress with parents/guardians.
