Responsibilities may include collecting, disposing, and maintaining records of urine specimens; conducting drug screenings; maintaining the inventory of testing supplies and equipment testifying in court; reporting and documenting testing results; ensuring documentation procedures are done in accordance with policies and procedures; and providing training on testing result documentation.Location:1700 Stone St Ste 206, Falls City, NE 68355Travel:This position will test primarily in Falls City and Pawnee City, but could be asked to travel to other locations in the district to assist.Work Schedule: Early Morning Position .This position will require candidates to be in their testing location and ready to begin testing by 5am.Non-traditional hours may be required.Salary and Compensation:Starting Salary: $ 31,985.62 annually (Hiring Rate).Immediate Growth*: Earn a 2.5% pay increase after successfully completing your probation period (if starting at Hiring Rate).Starting Rate Flexibility: Higher starting pay may be considered based on education and experience, subject to final management approval.*Please Note: Candidates approved to start above the Hiring Rate (at or above the Minimum Permanent rate) are not eligible for the 2.5% post-probation increase.Future Increases: Annual cost-of-living adjustments (applied on July 1) are subject to State Legislature approval.Job Duties1. Greets clients, collects testing forms and accompanies to drug testing area.2. Conduct drug screening in accordance with established systems and procedures using approved testing methodologies. Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.The above classification responsibilities represent only the key areas of responsibilities; specific position assignments will vary depending on the business needs of the department.Requirements / Qualifications:Minimum Qualifications:High School Diploma or equivalent.All educational credits must be granted from an accredited institution approved by the U.S. Dept. of Education.Preferred Qualifications : Prior substance abuse or chemical testing training and working with the offender population.Knowledge:Drug screening and chemical testing methodology.Safe work methods and procedures.Applicable testing equipment.Recordkeeping principles.Basic inventory management principles.Computers and related software applications.Skills:Performing drug screening.Collecting applicable samples.Maintaining specimen records.Monitoring inventory and supply levels.Maintaining operational records.Using a computer and related software applications.Utilizing communication and interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisors, the general public and others to sufficiently exchange or convey information and to receive work direction.Physical RequirementsIncumbents may be subjected to fumes, odors, poor ventilation, hazardous materials (chemicals, blood, and other body fluids, etc.), and challenging environmental conditions, imminent danger.Light Work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
