Job summary

Select Source International is seeking a Drug Weigher I to weigh, pack and distribute materials to production areas per planning orders. Responsibilities include weighing activities, cleaning following GMP, and maintaining a clean, compliant room.

The role requires at least a High School Diploma, possible forklift experience, and bilingual English/Spanish abilities. Overtime and shift flexibility are expected in this fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Pharmaceutical experience preferred; GMP knowledge required.
  • Overtime availability may be required.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills.
  • High School Diploma required; higher degrees preferred.
  • Experience with forklift operations is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • weighs, packs and distributes materials to production areas per production orders.
  • Clean and decontaminate weighing room and utensils according to procedures.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the working area.
  • Ensure quality and productivity of processes under charge.
  • Generate and complete documentation for weighing and cleaning per GMP.
  • Follow manufacturing records and safety procedures during weighing.
  • Locate and identify materials to be weighed and assist with material inventories.
  • Operate forklifts and other storage equipment as needed.

Proposed Job Title Drug Weigher I:
Purpose Describe the primary goals, objectives or functions or outputs of this position. The
\"Drug Weigher I\" is responsible for weighing, packing and distributing the materials to the production areasaccording to the production orders generated by the planning department.This includes raw materials, active ingredients and controlled substances. It is responsiblefor initiating and completing documentation related to the weighing of the materials andthe cleaning of the rooms according to established procedures.Responsibilities List up to 10 main responsibilities for the job. Include information about the accountability and scope. Responsible for weighing, packing and distributing the material to the production areas according to productionorders generated by the planning department, either regular product or controlled drug. Responsible for the cleaning of utensils, equipment and weighing room. Responsible for the decontamination and cleaning of the potent drug room (Lynparza Dispensing area),including room, assembly and disassembly of the equipment, in addition to completing the required steps in manual or electronic record of these tasks. Keeps the working area clean and orderly. Responsible for the quality, productivity and efficiency of the processes under his charge. Responsible for generating and completing documentation related to weighing the material and cleaning the rooms according to established procedures and complying with GMP regulations. Responsible for following the instructions of the manufacturing record and related procedures; including safety, proper handling, identification and process throughout the weighing area. Locate and identify all materials that must be weighed. Assists in all physical inventories of raw materials that are performed during the year. Operates storage equipment such as forklifts and hand trucks, etc. Qualifications List required and preferred qualifications (up to 10). Include education, skills and experience. High School Diploma. No prior experience is required. Preferably handling of forklifts. Management of computerized equipment. Key Stakeholders Manufacturing areas, planning, supply chain, warehouse, Quality.
