DRUG-GEN MDSE/LEAD RECEIVING CLERK (Finance)

Assist GM Department Manager in planning, organizing, staffing, training, and directing GM Department associates. Perform production and customer service functions to maximize store sales and profits safely and ethically, following Dillons company policies and procedures. Minimum Requirements:
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Understanding of key department operations such as managing people, merchandising, inventory management, and customer service.
  • Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations, including OSHA compliance.
  • Ability to operate power machinery and job tools safely.
  • Ability to make quick, informed decisions and handle stressful situations tactfully.
  • Skills in production, merchandising, and customer service related to merchandise sales.

  • Experience in grocery retail or management roles.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Department Manager in organizing work, staffing, training, and scheduling employees to ensure prompt, courteous customer service.
  • Respond appropriately to customer and associate comments, complaints, requests, and questions.
  • Maintain professionalism and courtesy in all interactions.
  • Use Computer Assisted Ordering (CAO) to manage merchandise orders and ensure proper inventory accounting.
  • Price and display merchandise effectively, maintaining proper signage, rotation, and quality standards.
  • Engage and counsel associates in merchandising, customer service, and promotional activities.
  • Implement company programs and policies, especially regarding dress code, grooming, food safety, sanitation, and harassment-free environment.
  • Communicate effectively with employees and customers to foster a positive environment.
  • Maintain equipment and facilities in safe and proper condition.
  • Keep merchandise areas clean and sanitary.
  • Promote and implement company initiatives and process improvements positively.
  • Manage people and organize workloads effectively.
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned.
