Position Summary:
- Create an environment that enables customers to feel welcome, important, and appreciated by answering questions regarding products sold within the department and throughout the store.
- Gain and maintain knowledge of products sold within the department and respond to questions and make suggestions about products.
- Offer product samples to help customers discover new items or inquire about products.
- Inform customers of Drug GM specials and recommend items to ensure they get what they want and need.
- Review "sell by" dates and take appropriate action.
- Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise.
- Report product ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
- Display a positive attitude and stay current with ads and promotions.
- Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures and identifying unsafe conditions.
- Practice preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment and reporting repairs.
- Notify management of accidents, safety risks, or illegal activities such as theft or fraud.
- Work cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment and manage conflicts professionally.
- Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
- Follow directions and seek assistance when needed to resolve issues.
