Job summary

Yoh Services LLC is seeking a hands-on Research Associate II - Drug Discovery in Seattle, WA. This role focuses on assay development, RT-qPCR, and mammalian cell culture to support early-stage drug discovery programs.

You will run molecular and cell-based experiments, evaluate compound activity, validate hits, and optimize assays while collaborating with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate has a biology degree and 3+ years of bench experience, with strong data interpretation and

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in biology, molecular biology, cell biology, cancer biology, biochemistry, or related field.
3+ years of hands-on laboratory experience; master's degree with relevant experience considered.

Responsibilities

Perform mammalian cell culture, including maintenance and manipulation of cancer cell lines.
Execute RT-qPCR and multiplex RT-qPCR assays to evaluate gene expression and compound activity.
Design, evaluate, and optimize primers, probes, and oligonucleotides.
Conduct cell-based assays (viability, proliferation, apoptosis, reporter, and compound-response).
Perform compound-treatment, dose-response, and validation experiments.
Assist in validation and characterization of hits from screening campaigns.
Develop, optimize, troubleshoot, and scale molecular and cell-based assays.
Analyze results and communicate findings to cross-functional teams.
Maintain accurate lab records and documentation.
