Summary

A postdoctoral position is available in the area of synthetic organic/ medicinal chemistry in a highly active CNS specific drug discovery research group directed by Aloke K. Dutta, Ph.D. Ongoing work focuses on the multiple neurodisorders related projects including neurodegeneration. The project for the postdoctoral position involves rational design and synthesis of ligands for specific CNS targets specifically amyloidogenic proteins implicated in the diseases like Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s.

Required qualifications

A PhD. In the area of synthetic/ medicinal chemistry is rquired. Experience in organic synthesis and good working knowledge in biology will be considered assets.
