Union Community Care is seeking a dedicated Drug & Alcohol Counselor to join our on-site clinical team in Lancaster, PA. The role emphasizes coordinated, high-quality care across interdisciplinary teams and requires active participation in case reviews, treatment planning, and documentation.

Qualifications

• Master’s or higher in chemical dependency, psychology, social work, counseling with practicum in drug/alcohol setting
• Bachelor’s in related field plus 1 year clinical experience (1,820 hours) in D&A setting
• Associate degree plus 2 years clinical experience (3,640 hours) in health/human services, preferably D&A
• RN licensure with counseling experience (1,820 hours) in health/human services
• Full certification as addiction counselor by a national/state body
• PA Child Abuse Clearance, PA Criminal Background, FBI clearances, CPR/First Aid
• Bilingual Spanish/English
• ASAM criteria knowledge, strong computer skills, recordkeeping, able to work independently and in a team, good organizational skills
• Pharmacological/ clinical confidentiality compliance (HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2)

Responsabilités

• Maintain a daily caseload of 5-8 clients in residential or up to 35 in outpatient settings
• Obtain prior authorizations to ensure timely access to services
• Provide individual counseling using evidence-based practices
• Plan, facilitate, and document psychoeducational and group sessions
• Provide family counseling and educate on addiction, recovery resources
• Maintain clinical records in compliance with DDAP, HIPAA, and 42 CFR Part 2
• Complete assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries
• Coordinate care with healthcare providers and community agencies
• Advocate for client needs and ensure continuity of care
• Respond to client crises including relapses and safety concerns
• Participate in staff meetings, supervision, and professional development
• Maintain licenses, certifications, and credentials

Formation
