Job summary

ACI Federal's Job Corps Center in Darby, MT seeks a Drug & Alcohol Counselor to build healthier, substance-free futures for young adults. This full-time role focuses on counseling, education, and intervention within a supportive, center-based setting.

You will lead individual and group sessions, perform screenings, develop treatment plans, provide crisis intervention, and coordinate with staff and community resources to support student success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or related field (Master's preferred).
• Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) or Montana certification - required.
• 2+ years of substance abuse counseling experience, ideally with adolescents or young adults.
• Strong grounding in counseling techniques, recovery models, and community resources.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and documentation skills.
• Comfort working collaboratively in a diverse, student-centered setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead individual and group counseling sessions on substance abuse prevention, recovery, and life skills.
• Assess student needs through screenings, intake interviews, and ongoing evaluations.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with Job Corps guidelines.
• Provide crisis intervention and connect students to outside treatment resources when needed.
• Partner with center staff, healthcare providers, and community organizations for holistic student support.
• Facilitate workshops on substance abuse awareness, prevention, and healthy decision-making.
• Maintain accurate, confidential case records and progress reports.
• Champion a safe, drug-free center environment.
