Job summary

Live! Casino & Hotel Maryland is seeking a Drop Count Associate to handle currency drops for our gaming floors on-site.

Under supervision, you will open, remove, and secure currency from slot machines and table games, ensuring accurate counts and security. You will operate the electronic currency counter and ticket counter equipment, prepare reports, and enter data into the online accounting system, while maintaining strict confidentiality and complying with all policies.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Exposure to an alcohol and smoking environment and must be able to work in such an environment.
• Must have the ability to secure and maintain licensure as required by Virginia Gaming Control Board or any other applicable regulatory entity as may be required to perform assigned duties, or as required by Live’s operating standards.

Job description

Overview

Under direct supervision of the Drop Count Supervisor, responsible for the drop and count processes for Gaming Machines, Table Games and Poker Room Drop.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for opening, removing and securing currency from the slot machines and table games.
• Adheres to all Drop/Count policies and procedures.
• Accurately counts slot machine currency drop and tickets.
• Operates electronic currency counter/sorter and New Wave ticket counter equipment.
• Records currency from each bill acceptor and table game box on the electronic currency counter.
• Prepares and bundles the currency drop for verification.
• Separates slot ticket and currency from gaming machines.
• Performs chip count for Poker Room.
• Prepares and creates various reports on the count and enters them into the computerized online accounting system.
• Informs supervisors of any discrepancies or variances.
• Ensures area is maintained and clean.
• Completes Drop/Count during regular shift.
• Maintains confidentiality of all information.
• Contributes to a team effort and accomplishes related results as required.
• Ensures the safety and security of guests and employees.
• Other duties as assigned.
