Responsibilities

  • Lead in-house and subcontractor crews performing underground telecommunications installations, including drop bury and service line construction.
  • Travel to job sites within market territory.
  • Train and develop crew members, provide ongoing performance evaluation and constructive feedback.
  • Manage crew schedules and time-off requests.
  • Coordinate with locating services to ensure proper utility marking before excavation.
  • Assess ground conditions and site challenges before beginning projects.
  • Make real-time decisions about equipment needs and crew assignments.
  • Verify proper depth, cable placement, and conduit installation methods.
  • Ensure proper restoration of excavated areas to meet customer and municipal requirements.
  • Conduct daily safety briefings and ensure compliance with company safety standards and industry regulations.
  • Monitor crew compliance with PPE requirements.
  • Perform quality control inspections of completed work to ensure installations meet company and industry standards.
  • Perform regular equipment and tool inspections.
  • Interface with property owners, local utilities, and municipal authorities as needed.
  • Track project progress and maintain accurate documentation using company software systems.
  • Respond to and resolve field challenges while keeping projects on schedule.

We are seeking a Drop Bury Supervisor to join our team in Houston, TX. In this role, you will lead and perform field operations, ensuring high-quality underground utility construction while maintaining safety and efficiency standards.
