The role emphasizes ownership of testing processes, verification and validation strategies, and clear reporting of results. Expect hands-on work with multi-threaded C++/Python, RTOS (Yocto), and hardware integration.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, Computer or Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Mathematics, or a related field is required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in related roles (Test Engineer, Systems Engineer, Software Engineer, or Embedded Systems Engineer).
• Experience testing software solutions prior to launch, developing and executing test plans, and working independently.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement, test, and document software for drone systems.
• Utilize multi-threaded programming in C++ and Python in a Linux environment.
• Work with real-time operating systems (RTOS), including Yocto, and kernel interfaces.
• Establish verification and validation (V&V) thresholds and strategy.
• Develop and execute test plans for new features and products.
• Report on test results and produce documentation.
• Work independently with minimal supervision.
