Job summary
LNM1968 is seeking a Drone Pilot with GIS/Mapping expertise in Rancho Cordova, CA to conduct UAV operations for topographic surveys, photogrammetry missions, and LiDAR data acquisition. You will plan flights using industry-standard software and deliver survey-grade geospatial deliverables.
The role requires FAA Part 107 certification, strong GIS/mapping knowledge, experience with Pix4D, DroneDeploy, and Metashape, and the ability to produce orthomosaics, DEMs, and point clouds for engineering
Qualifications
- 3+ years drone mapping and GIS experience.
- Proficiency with photogrammetry software (Pix4D, DroneDeploy, Metashape).
- Experience with GIS platforms (ArcGIS, QGIS, GlobalMapper).
- Understanding of surveying principles and coordinatesystems.
- Experience with DJI Enterprise drones (Phantom 4 RTK, Matrice series).
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites.
Responsibilities
- Conduct UAV flights for mapping, surveying, and LiDAR data collection.
- Plan missions with RTK/PPK for high-accuracy geospatial data.
- Process aerial imagery into orthomosaics, DEMs, and 3D models.
- Generate point clouds from photogrammetry and LiDAR data.
- Integrate drone data with GIS platforms (ArcGIS, QGIS).
- Establish ground control points and validate survey accuracy.
