Job summary

Neros Technologies in the United States is seeking a Firmware Engineer on the Flight Software team. You will build the flight-critical firmware that powers our unmanned systems, translating requirements into robust code and bringing features from bench to flight tests.

You should have strong embedded C skills on resource-constrained microcontrollers and hands-on experience with a flight stack (PX4, Betaflight).

Qualifications

• Strong embedded C on resource-constrained microcontrollers with field firmware experience.
• Hands-on experience with a flight stack (PX4, Betaflight) on vehicles that flew.
• Understanding of flight-control fundamentals and sensor fusion for state estimates.
• Proven ability to debug hardware-coupled issues that reproduce in flight or bench tests.
• Ability to own a problem end-to-end with light direction and deliver flight-ready firmware.

Responsibilities

• Implement flight modes and control features (position/altitude hold, safety/degradation behaviors).
• Port and tune sensors and control algorithms across flight stacks.
• Build vehicle-side datalink and payload integrations for new platform variants.
• Instrument the vehicle, run bench and flight-test iterations, and debug flight issues.
• Write unit and integration tests for firmware and collaborate with Test on SITL/HITL and flight tests.
