Job summary

DoorDash Labs is expanding its Drone Delivery team in the United States. We’re seeking engineers to design and deploy software for autonomous drone operations, integrating software with hardware, sensors, and cloud backends.

You’ll work across perception, control, and navigation using ROS/ROS 2 to enable reliable drone delivery in real-world environments. The role reports to Engineering Management within DoorDash Labs, offering opportunities to push the boundaries of robotics in a leading

Qualifications

• Degree in CS/EE/Robotics or a related field.
• 5+ years of industry experience in software development for robotics or autonomous systems.
• Proficiency in C/C++ and Python; experience with ROS/ROS 2.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy software for advanced drone hardware and autonomous flight.
• Develop onboard perception, sensor fusion, state estimation, and control algorithms.
• Build modular robotic applications using ROS/ROS 2 for navigation and payload management.
• Interface drone sensors with ground control and cloud backends; ensure real-time performance.
• Collaborate with backend and infrastructure teams for integrated drone delivery systems.
