Angel Aerial Systems is seeking a hands‑on Drone Assembly Technician to build and test small unmanned aircraft systems used by first responders, military teams, and national security organizations. You will assemble mechanical and electrical hardware, integrate avionics and payload systems, and help move completed aircraft through inspection, troubleshooting, and flight‑ready validation.

This role is a strong fit for someone who enjoys building real hardware, takes pride in precise and repeatable work, and can recognize when a build does not meet requirements. Relevant experience may come from electronics manufacturing, cable and wire‑harness assembly, avionics, robotics, electronics repair, automotive electronics, or another hands‑on technical environment.

What You Will Do

• Perform mechanical and electrical assembly of drone airframes, avionics, payloads, communications equipment, and related systems.
• Build, route, terminate, solder, and inspect wiring, connectors, and cable assemblies.
• Integrate completed printed circuit board assemblies and electronic modules into aircraft systems. This role does not involve component‑level PCB fabrication, but it may include connector work, soldering, and minor rework.
• Fabricate battery packs from cells and related components, then integrate completed packs and aircraft power‑system components in accordance with defined procedures and safety requirements.
• Use hand tools, soldering equipment, meters, fixtures, and other production and test equipment.
• Perform in‑process and final inspections to verify workmanship, configuration, and build quality.
• Troubleshoot assembly and electrical issues and support diagnostics, functional testing, quality control, and flight‑ready validation.
• Record completed work and follow build instructions, drawings, wiring diagrams, checklists, and configuration requirements.
• Partner with engineering to identify recurring issues and improve assembly methods, tooling, quality, and production efficiency.

What We Are Looking For

• Hands‑on experience in electronics assembly, mechanical assembly, cable or wire‑harness work, electronics repair, avionics, robotics, or similar technical work.
• Proficiency with soldering and electronic assembly, supported by strong workmanship and attention to detail.
• Comfort working with small mechanical components, fasteners, wiring, connectors, and electronic hardware.
• Ability to read and follow technical instructions, drawings, wiring diagrams, checklists, and standard work.
• Ability to troubleshoot methodically, document findings, and recognize when a build does not meet requirements.
• Reliability, ownership, and the ability to work independently while collaborating in a fast‑moving, small‑team environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Relevant technical training or equivalent hands‑on experience in electronics, manufacturing, aviation, robotics, automotive, industrial maintenance, or a related field.
• Experience with drones, robotics, aerospace, electronics manufacturing, or other integrated electromechanical products is preferred but not required.
