Re:Build Manufacturing in Massachusetts is seeking an Applications Engineer to serve as a bridge between customers and our drone engineering team. You will help clients integrate payloads, configure systems, and deploy drone solutions for specific applications.

The role emphasizes hands-on electronics integration, testing, and documentation, with travel to customer sites. You will collaborate with the engineering group to evolve our platform and support open-source flight control stacks such as

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience with autonomous systems or drones.
• Experience with open-source flight control systems is a plus.
• Hands-on electronics integration or hardware prototyping preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with integration of payloads into drone platforms.
• Support architectural designs and system configuration.
• Manage software and firmware builds for deployments.
• Provide technical support for PixHawk payloads and accessories.
• Support autopilot builds for PX4, ArduPilot, Betaflight, and others.
• Conduct benchtop, integration, and flight testing.
• Create and maintain integration documentation and tutorials.
• Troubleshoot issues and provide timely solutions.
• Collaborate with engineering to capture customer requirements.
• Support GitHub repositories and API documentation.
• Travel to customer sites for integration support and training.
