## Driving Range Operations AssistantApplylocations: AZ Phoenixtime type: Full timeposted on: Posted Todayjob requisition id: R000068095Job Profile Name: **Driving Range Operations Assistant**Job Profile Summary:Position Summary/Purpose: Under the direction of the Driving Range Operations Manager, the Driving Range Operations Assistant has the responsibility of assisting in managing day-to-day driving range operations, event coordination, while ensuring superior guest service and satisfaction. Compliance Obligation: All GCU employees are responsible for knowing and complying with the applicable constitution, bylaws, laws, policies, rules, regulations, and/or enforcement structures of and governing the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and of the Western Athletic Conference, especially if this role is in frequent interaction with student athletes.Job Description:**Primary Responsibilities /Accountabilities/ Essential Functions:*** Responsible for assisting in day-to-day operations of the Driving Range, including opening and closing procedures.* Manage the reservation system; establish and assist with daily scheduling.* Track and verify all guests, and other charges necessary, and facilitate accurate recordkeeping.* Develop, maintain, update, and utilize customer database.* Manage group events.* Establish and maintain responsibility for the cleanliness and appearance of the Driving Range, storage area and general seating areas.* Responsible for guest service.* Responsible for handling of money.* In absence of director, this person is responsible for day-to-day decisions.* Assist with managing hours of driving range staff and student workers ensuring adequate coverage to ensure required service levels.* Assist in training all driving range team members.* Other duties as assigned.**Equipment Used and Responsibility*** Fundamental knowledge of the game of golf, golf facility operations and tournament operations.* Basic computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications: MS Word and Excel.* Ability to be on your feet for long periods of time (approximately 50% of shift).**Supervisory Responsibilities**Supervise assistant pros and student workers.**Experience/ Education*** Bachelor’s degree and minimum 2 years of experience in golf operations.* Minimum of 4 years’ experience in golf course operations.* Must be able to work a flexible schedule, which includes early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays if needed.* Must be available to work anytime within the hours of 5:00am-10:00 pm, any of the 7 days of the week (may be subject to change based on business need).* Must successfully pass a background check.
