Job summary

Coastline Academy is seeking a dedicated driving instructor to educate students in the fundamentals of operating a car behind the wheel, using a Coastline car with a dashboard camera for safety. You will complete our paid training program to obtain your state license, with lessons mainly in the afternoons and on weekends to fit student schedules.

The role involves teaching practical driving skills, ensuring safety, and maintaining clear communication with supervisors.

Qualifications

We are on a mission to rid the world of car crashes by teaching students to be safe and confident drivers for life.

About This Role:

• In a company-provided vehicle, you will educate and advise students while teaching them the fundamentals of operating a car behind the wheel
• We'll assist you in obtaining the state-required driving instructor certification through our paid training program. Our training team will guide you through the requirements and provide the coursework to obtain your state license.
• All of our lessons are taught in a Coastline Car and recorded with a dashboard camera for the safety of you and your student
• The majority of the demand for driving lessons is in the afternoons and weekends as most of our students are on a school schedule. A typical day could consist of three, two-hour lessons.

What does training entail?

• Training will consist of 30 hours of learning (15 hours of at home reading and modules and 12 hours of behind-the-wheel in-car in person training, 3 hours of admin task)
• In-person behind-the-wheel training in a Coastline car in your local area
• You will shadow 3 in-car lessons as well as do 3 x 4 hours of training with a Certified Trainer
