Our mission is to reduce car crashes by teaching students to be safe and confident drivers for life.

Job Overview

As a driving instructor you will work in a company‑provided vehicle, providing practical teaching and advising students on safe driving practices. You will help students develop confidence and competency while ensuring recordings of each session are captured via a dashboard camera.

Training

• 60 hours of learning: 40 hours of at‑home reading and modules, 20 hours of behind‑the‑wheel in‑person training.
• In‑person behind‑the‑wheel training in a Coastline car in your local area.
• Shadow three in‑car lessons and complete four hours of training with a Certified Trainer.

Responsibilities

• Teach practical driving skills and instruction on road rules.
• Help students gain confidence in their driving abilities.
• Gain control of the vehicle during emergency situations.
• Document and report on students' progress.
• Maintain timely communication with your supervisor and support team.
• Maintain professionalism with students and fellow team members.
• Attend team meetings for updates and ongoing development.

Qualifications

• Passion for teaching and ability to stay calm in a learning environment.
• Valid State Driver's License in the state where you will work.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and reference check.
• At least five years of legal driving experience.
• Strong safety mindset and reasoning ability.
• Clear instruction, coaching, and effective communication skills.
• Ability to focus for extended periods of time.
