Job description

Currently seeking a Driving Forklift Operator with the following qualifications in the Dallas, Texas area (75229).

This position is responsible for the safe, accurate, and efficient movement of materials in the warehouse and will be regularly loading and unloading trucks with minimal supervision. This position may also be responsible for occasionally driving the company box truck. Candidates must have stand-up forklift certification.

Duties/Responsibilities of Driving Forklift Operator:

• Move materials in the warehouse and load/unload trucks safely, accurately, and promptly.
• Accurately record all material movements on move sheets and/or wireless computer systems on forklifts.
• Assist with receiving materials, including paperwork, counting, and tagging.
• Assist with customer pickups, salesperson pickups, etc.
• Maintain cleanliness in assigned areas.
• Obtain packaging materials and deliver items to customers.
• Perform routine inspections on assigned vehicles and report defects or repairs.
• Keep trucks, cabs, and freight areas clean.
• Complete all required training, including safety, compliance, and job-specific courses.

Education/Experience:

• Recent experience with sit-down forklifts, stand-up forklifts, and pallet jacks, with a strong safety record.
• 1-5 years of relevant experience, familiarity with packaging products preferred.
• Three (3) years of relevant driving experience (Class B license).
• Experience with warehouse management systems, wireless forklift computers, and scanners preferred.
