Qualifications

• Minimum of three years combined driving and warehouse experience.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record; NYC box truck experience preferred.
• CDL license is a plus.
• Forklift experience is a plus; training may be provided.
• Reliable transportation and flexible availability.
• Ability to lift heavy items safely and work independently or in a team.
• Strong attention to detail and punctuality.

Responsibilities

• Drive company vehicles to pickups and deliveries.
• Load and unload furniture and shipments.
• Verify shipments are secure and complete delivery paperwork.
• Receive, inspect, label, and store incoming materials.
• Pull and stage orders for delivery, move materials in the warehouse.
• Assist with inventory counts and safety compliance.
• Maintain clean, safe warehouse and perform vehicle inspections.
• Follow company policies and safety regulations.
• Overtime may be required.

Pay: $22.00-$26.00 per hour, based on experience

Freedom Moving & Storage is seeking a dependable and hardworking Driver/Warehouse Associate to join our Wayne, NJ team. This position combines driving and delivery responsibilities with general warehouse work. We have a steady workload and offer plenty of opportunities for overtime.

Schedule and Availability

This is not a fixed Monday-through-Friday, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM position. Hours will vary depending on customer and operational needs.

Candidates must have a flexible schedule and be available to work:

• Day, evening, and nighttime hours
• Weekdays and weekends
• Extended shifts and overtime when required

Responsibilities

• Drive company vehicles to complete scheduled pickups and deliveries
• Load and unload furniture, equipment, materials, and customer shipments
• Verify that shipments are accurate and properly secured before transport
• Complete delivery paperwork and obtain required signatures
• Receive, inspect, label, and properly store incoming materials
• Pull, prepare, and stage orders for delivery
• Move and organize materials throughout the warehouse
• Assist with inventory counts and report damaged or missing items
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and promptly report maintenance or safety concerns
• Follow all company procedures and applicable transportation and safety regulations
• Assist with additional warehouse and delivery duties as needed

Qualifications

• At least three years of combined professional driving and warehouse experience
• Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving recordExperience driving commercial box trucks, specifically in NYC
• CDL License a plus!
• Forklift experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate
• Must have reliable transportation and flexible availability
• Ability to safely lift, carry, push, and pull heavy items throughout the workday
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Dependable attendance and punctuality
• Professional and courteous when interacting with customers and coworkers
• Willingness to follow all company policies and safety procedures

Compensation

The hourly rate for this position is $22.00-$26.00, depending on experience and qualifications. We offer a steady workload with substantial overtime opportunities.
