Job summary

Freedom Moving & Storage in Wayne, NJ is hiring a Driver/Warehouse Associate to join the team. This role combines driving with warehouse duties, offering a steady workload and substantial overtime opportunities.

The position requires at least three years of combined driving and warehouse experience, a valid driver’s license, and flexibility to work day, evening, night, weekdays, and weekends. CDL and forklift experience are a plus, with training available for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Three years of combined professional driving and warehouse experience.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record. NYC box trucks experience a plus.
• CDL is a plus; forklift experience is a plus and training may be provided.
• Must be reliable with flexible schedule and overtime availability.
• Ability to lift and move heavy items and work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Drive company vehicles to complete scheduled pickups and deliveries.
• Load and unload furniture, equipment, materials, and customer shipments.
• Verify shipments are accurate and properly secured before transport.
• Complete delivery paperwork and obtain required signatures.
• Receive, inspect, label, and store incoming materials.
• Pull, prepare, and stage orders for delivery.
• Move and organize materials throughout the warehouse.
• Assist with inventory counts and report damaged or missing items.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns.
• Follow all company procedures and transportation regulations.
