Job description

We have a great opportunity for a customer-oriented Driver to join our team! As a Driver, you will ensure the safe, efficient, and courteous delivery of electrical supplies, materials, and parts. You will also assist with general warehouse duties.

Responsibilities:
  1. Drive company truck(s) with great care, assuring compliance with all prevailing traffic laws and legal speed limits, and safety protocol.
  2. Provide associates with possible solutions and/or appropriate contact information when problems arise, reporting observations of customer opportunities and problems to the Warehouse Manager.
  3. Load and unload materials from truck in an accurate, efficient, and safe manner, utilizing proper body mechanics and proper equipment (e.g., forklift).
  4. Receive and check-in deliveries, pickups and returns to ensure quality and quantity of products.
  5. Cut wire, rod, or strut, safely utilizing the appropriate equipment.
  6. Sweep floors, remove trash and otherwise maintain the warehouse in a tidy and safe condition.
  7. Pick, pack, and ship orders. Orders range from a small box to pallets.
  8. Record losses of damaged or defective materials.
What you bring:
  1. Ability to climb into and drive delivery vehicles.
  2. Ability to unload material at customer site, including heavy and bulky items.
  3. Willingness to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jack, and power tools. You will also use push carts and rolling ladders.
  4. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without accommodation.
  5. Ability to be on your stand for extended periods and traverse the warehouse with or without accommodation.
  6. Basic problem-solving skills and computer skills.
