At Applied Industrial Technologies, the Warehouse/Driver role has an immediate impact on our Service Center performance and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities

As a Warehouse/Driver associate, you will perform various duties to provide our customers with world-class service and support. Your responsibilities include:

  • Picking up and delivering orders, shipping and receiving materials, maintaining stock areas and inventory.
  • Using your strong customer service skills when interacting with customers at the Service Center and during deliveries.
  • Partnering with our Service Center team to grow our business, develop new customers, and meet or exceed sales goals while increasing customer satisfaction.
Additional Duties
  • Receiving and verifying incoming materials, maintaining stock areas, preparing sales orders, and verifying merchandise accuracy.
  • Following daily schedules and work orders, and adhering to verbal and written instructions.
  • Using motor trucks, hand and mobile lift equipment, tools, weighing scales, and postage meters.
  • Operating company vehicles to deliver orders, equipment, and mail, and planning efficient routes.
  • Assisting in counter and telephone sales, order pulling, and customer calls.
  • Maintaining a clean driving record.
Requirements
  • At least 1 year of proven customer service or warehouse experience, preferably in distribution or parts counter environment.
  • Basic computer skills, accurate data entry, math and mechanical aptitude, and basic reading skills.
  • Proficiency in English grammar, both written and verbal.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record (MVR).
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, walk, bend, and lift 50 lbs. or more.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
