Job summary

Republic & T.F. Ehrhart is seeking a Driver-Warehouse to support customer deliveries and warehouse activities. The candidate will run delivery routes, pull and load orders, and maintain the vehicle while coordinating with the Fleet Manager for maintenance and paperwork.

Qualifications include a high school diploma, 0–2 years of warehouse experience, a valid license with a clean record, and DOT safety compliance. CDL is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver customer orders on a route.
• Assist with warehouse tasks as needed.
• Ensure vehicle is maintained and report incidents.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Coordinate with Fleet Manager for maintenance and documentation.
• Receive shipments and check for damage.
• Process receiving and transfer paperwork.
• Stock and organize warehouse per FIFO rules.
• Assist other departments with inventory questions.
• Occasionally focus on driving, then return to warehouse duties.

Job Information

Our Driver-Warehouse position supports customer deliveries as well as warehouse activities. Your typical responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

Role & Responsibility

• Run a delivery route for delivering customer orders. This may include pulling the equipment and parts for your orders, loading and unloading your orders on to the truck, Building your manifest (your plan or schedule of your route), contacting customers, Confirming order details, providing proof of delivery, etc.
• Taking care of your vehicle, keeping them clean, loading items safely and securely, reporting any incidents of vehicle or product damage to your supervisor immediately
• Following the rules of the road and reporting any safety or driving infractions immediately
• Perform all pre-trip and post-trip inspections according to company policy
• Working with the Delivery Services Coordinator and/or Fleet Manager to ensure routine maintenance is completed when needed and proper documentation is delivered to the Fleet Manager.
• Receiving shipments, confirming quantities and inspecting shipments for damage
• Completing or assisting with receiving paperwork and transfer paperwork as required
• Putting away product and following standard warehouse procedures like First-In-First-out Inventory practices
• Occasional cycle counts and assisting other departments with inventory questions.
• We're one big team so there are some days where you will mostly drive, but there may be other times where you are needed in the warehouse.
• There may be other things that come up so additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Physical Requirements

• Physically able to squat, bend and lift over 25-50 lbs. frequently
• Ability to move large pieces of equipment using a dolly which requires pushing and pulling up to 150 pounds frequently
• Ability to stand for long periods, use stairs frequently, walk on uneven surfaces
• Manual dexterity is required
