Responsibilities

• Deliver pharmaceuticals and supplies safely to healthcare centers, hospice or home care agencies and patient residences.
• Inspect vehicle and maintain required credentials before departing on route.
• Provide excellent customer service and communicate delivery issues with the Pharmacist or Pharmacy Manager.
• Keep supervisor informed of daily activities and issues.
• Document daily trip logs, fuel purchases and vehicle condition accurately.
• Follow state driving laws, wear seat belts, and avoid driving under the influence.

Job description

Drivers provide safe and efficient delivery of pharmaceuticals and supplies to healthcare centers, hospice or home care agencies and patient residences. This includes, but is not limited to, conducting vehicle inspection before leaving the pharmacy, maintaining all credentials (insurance verification, driver’s license, log book, etc) required are on person before departing on route, practicing safe driving at all times, providing superior customer service, communicating delivery issues with the Pharmacist or Pharmacy Manager, and reporting issues with regard to the vehicle to supervisor.

Key Responsibilities

• 1.Ability to plan, prioritize and complete projects
• 2.Ability to utilize tools such as Mapquest and/or GPS units
• 3.Reads and interprets maps and driving directions to plan the most efficient route; reads and interprets road signs in English
• 4.Displays a professional attitude and appearance

• 7.Displays good communication skills and the ability to read and write clearly
• 8.Clearly understands delivery manifests/tickets and obtains all appropriate signatures
• 9.Keeps supervisor informed of daily activities and issues
• 10.Keeps assigned vehicle clean inside and outside
• 11.Fuels assigned vehicle as necessary
• 12.Maintains accurate records on daily trip log, fuel purchases, vehicle condition, other records as requested
• 13.Proven ability to drive at varied times and weather conditions
• 14.Abides by all state driving laws, including the mandatory use of seat belts, not driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs (including prescription drugs that may impair driving ability), and yielding to all emergency vehicles.
• 15.Displays willingness to work hours outside of normal business hours at employers discretion
• 16.Must get along with co-workers; maintain effective relationships with management staff, partners and the general public
• 17.Follows all company policies and procedures, state and federal laws and regulation and reports violations to the appropriate supervisor

Qualifications
