Job summary

United Performance Metals, An ONI Company, Benicia, CA is hiring for a shipping/truck role. The position involves housekeeping in the shipping area, fueling the company truck, and keeping a daily log of deliveries. You will work closely with Production Planning and assist with cross-training of new or current employees.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or GED and 1–3 years related experience. Forklift and safety trainings are provided by UPM.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); combined with one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to communicate effectively.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Fork Truck Training, Shipping Training, Safety training, and fire Extinguisher Training. (UPM provided)
