Job summary

Carriage Services is seeking a Driver Transporter to join its funeral services team. Located in Washington state, this part-time role involves on-call removals, overnight and daytime availability, and compassionate client interaction to support families during difficult times.

You will need a current WA driver's license with a clean record, the ability to lift 75 pounds, and good communication skills. Training is provided, and occasional long drives to reach removal sites may be required.

Compensation: $18 per hour plus on-call stipends.

Job Duties

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

• The duties are generally performed in an indoor office setting; some duties may be performed outdoors, requiring exposure to natural elements such as inclement weather, extreme temperatures, uneven ground, dust, gas, and/or fumes.
• Must have sufficient strength and manual dexterity, work safely, and comply with company safety procedures, including wearing any required personal protective equipment.
• Employees in this role regularly required to climb, sit, stand, bend, kneel, and frequently lift up to 75 pounds, and may be required to lift up to 100 pounds.
• Performance may also require power reaching, pushing, and pulling.
• Routine exposure to chemicals and/or blood borne pathogens.
• Must drive a company vehicle and maintain a good driving record, and be insurable under company vehicle insurance.
