The Claiborne at Brickyard Crossing is looking to hire a Driver/Transportation Assistant to join our team. This is a part-time, hourly position located at our community in Summerville, SC. The Driver/Transportation Assistant is responsible for providing safe and timely transportation services for our residents. This role also includes assisting residents with their daily activities and needs as required.

Responsibilities:

1. Operate company-owned vehicle to transport residents to scheduled appointments, outings, and activities.
2. Assist residents with getting in and out of the vehicle safely.
3. Ensure the vehicle is clean, well-maintained, and stocked with necessary supplies.
4. Communicate with residents and their families to gather transportation needs and preferences.
5. Assist residents with their daily activities and needs as requested.
6. Follow all safety regulations and traffic laws while driving.
7. Report vehicle maintenance needs or accidents/incidents to the supervisor.
8. Provide excellent customer service to residents and their families.
9. Complete required paperwork and documentation accurately and timely.
10. Attend trainings and meetings as required.

Requirements:

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
3. Previous experience working with seniors preferred.
4. Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
5. Excellent communication and customer service skills.
6. Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
7. Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
8. Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
