Job summary

FCC Environmental Services, Tampa, FL, seeks a Safety Training Specialist to deliver driver training, develop safety programs, and supervise classroom content. You will coordinate with driving teams, maintain records, and lead investigations into incidents to improve safety metrics.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma and 3 years in waste collection/recycling with strong communication, confidentiality, and online tool proficiency.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma.
• Experience and Competencies: Waste Collection and Recycling Experience – at least 3 years preferred.
• Must be able to travel up to 50% of the time.
• Experience developing and implementing safety program plans and procedures; conducting investigations, analyzing data, and identifying and recommending corrective action.
• Must maintain confidentiality and safeguard sensitive material.
• Knowledge of DOT policies, OSHA standards, and ADA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Work flexible hours to meet company demands.
• Maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive information.
• Present information clearly to audiences.
• Coordinate with drivers and relay work requirements.
• Provide local trainers with instruction and guidance.
• Teach and supervise classroom training content for compliance.
• Deliver driver training including New Hire Orientation and refresher courses.
• Create and maintain driver files.
• Report safety performance to leadership and trigger necessary actions.
• Investigate accidents and injuries and coordinate with claims teams.
