Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. is hiring experienced CDL-A Delivery Drivers for our CK St. Louis location. You will safely deliver products to customers and represent trusted brands, building a long-term career with a 130-year legacy.

Pay starts with training at $20.50/hour and progresses to $80,000–$90,000+ annually, plus comprehensive benefits and a 401(k) plan. This full-time role operates in the CK St. Louis unit with third shift hours.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older.
• Valid CDL-A license required.
• At least 1 year of tractor-trailer driving experience (50,000 miles).
• Must meet McLane's MVR and risk rating qualifications.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Deliver products to customers safely and on time.
• Inspect tractor-trailer and document DOT inspection reports.
• Operate tractor-trailer and maneuvre in customer premises.

What you'll do as a CDL-A Delivery Driver:

As a McLane CDL-A Delivery Driver, you’ll safely deliver products that keep America’s restaurants, retailers, and convenience stores stocked and running every day.

• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report indicating condition.
• Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy in off-hour delivery.
• Drive tractor-trailer to destination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering vehicle on the road and on customer premises.
• Maintain driver log (Manual or Peoplenet) according to DOT regulations, documenting delivery receipt, product temperatures and exceptions.
• Unload trailer, delivering product into customer premises.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications you'll bring as a CDL-A Teammate:

• At least 21 years of age
• Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL-A)
• At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience
• Must meet McLane's MVR and risk rating qualifications
• This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
