Job summary

US Foods in Twinsburg, OH is seeking a driver to safely operate trucks, meet delivery times, and assist with unloading and signatures. This role emphasizes reliability and customer service within a leading foodservice distributor.

Compensation includes $25.55/hour plus benefits and a $5,000 retention bonus for eligible new hires. Schedule is Monday–Saturday, 3–6am dispatch with 10–12 hour shifts. CDL-A and FMCSA Clearinghouse registration are required; English proficiency is essential.

Qualifications

• Must register to the FMCSA Clearinghouse.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must have valid CDL Class A with endorsements and DOT qualifications.
• Less than six months of commercial driving experience or less than three months in food/beverage delivery.
• Ability to read and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive trucks to customers and meet delivery times.
• Unload products with a pallet jack, two-wheeler, or by hand and place in storage areas.
• Verify delivery accuracy with customers and obtain signatures.
• Handle collections and payments from customers when applicable.
• Perform all pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections.
• Provide professional customer service to enhance client experience.

Schedule

Monday - Saturday 3-6am dispatch time (10-12 hour shifts) 5 days

Main Ingredients of the Job

• Safely drive trucks to customers and meet scheduled customer delivery times
• Carefully unload products from the trailer with a two-wheeler, pallet jack, or by hand and place in designated customer storage areas
• Verify accuracy of delivery with customers and obtain proper signatures
• Handle collections and payments from customers when applicable
• Professionally perform customer service responsibilities to enhance our client experience
• Perform all pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspection

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift/carry/push/pull 20 to 80+ lbs. of product repetitively during each shift required
• Comfortable driving and working in inclement weather conditions with frequent stops (10+ per shift) required

What You Bring to the Table

• Register to the FMCSA Clearinghouse*
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must have valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications
• Less than six months commercial driving experience or less than three months commercial driving experience in the food and/or beverage delivery industry required
• Ability to operate manual transmission preferred; may be required in specific locations
• Must be able to read and communicate in the English language - able to hold a conversation, to understand highway traffic signs and signals, to respond to official inquiries, and to enter information on reports and records.

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law. The expected base rate for this role is between $25.55/hour and $28.55/hour.
