Job summary

White Cap is hiring a CDL A Driver to deliver building materials to customer jobsites in a safety-focused environment. The role requires operating a tractor-trailer or straight truck, and may involve using a truck-mounted forklift to unload shipments.

Qualifications

• Class A CDL with at least 1 year of driving experience.
• Hazmat endorsement and clean MVR preferred.
• Experience delivering construction/building materials to customer locations.
• Experience operating truck-mounted forklifts or other material handling equipment.
• Strong commitment to safety with knowledge of DOT regulations and cargo securement.
• Bilingual Spanish/English proficiency is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver products to customer jobsites using a tractor-trailer or straight truck over 26,000 pounds GVW.
• May use a truck-mounted forklift to unload shipments at jobsites.
• Follow DOT regulations and maintain a strong safety focus.
• Ensure manifests and paperwork are accurate.
• Assist warehouse staff with pulling and preparing orders for shipment.

A CDL A Driver at White Cap…

• Coordinates and delivers products to customer jobsites using a tractor-trailer or straight truck with a GVW over 26,000 pounds.
• May use a truck-mounted forklift (Moffett or Piggyback) to unload shipments at customer jobsites.
• Follows DOT regulations in accordance with vehicle maintenance and operates with a strong emphasis on safety.
• Ensures that manifests and all paperwork are accurate.
• May assist warehouse staff with pulling and preparing orders for shipment.
• Has a Class A CDL license with a minimum of one year of experience.
• Performs other duties as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with applicable endorsements and a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
• Commercial driving experience in compliance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations and DOT requirements, with two or more years preferred
• Experience delivering construction, industrial, building materials, or other heavy products to customer locations
• Hazmat endorsement/certification preferred when applicable to materials transported
• Experience operating truck-mounted forklifts (Moffett/Piggyback), forklifts, or other material handling equipment; forklift certification preferred
• Strong commitment to safety, including knowledge of DOT regulations, vehicle inspections, cargo securement, and safe driving practices
• Customer-focused approach with experience maintaining accurate manifests, bills of lading, and other delivery documentation while providing professional service at jobsites
• Ability to support loading, unloading, order preparation, and other warehouse activities as needed; bilingual (Spanish/English) proficiency is a plus
