Job summary

Peco Foods, Inc. is seeking a professional driver to support our distribution network. The role involves operating a truck, maintaining logs, communicating with supervisors, loading/unloading, and inspections to ensure safe, on-time deliveries.

You will uphold a positive image of Peco Foods, perform routine vehicle maintenance, keep clean truck interiors and exteriors, and comply with DOT and CDL requirements. This position offers stability within our growing food distribution team.

• Drives truck to destination.
• Maintains truck log per state and federal regulations.
• Keeps telephone or radio contact with supervisor for delivery instructions.
• Loads/unloads truck; cleans compartment after unloading to prevent contamination.
• Inspects tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water.
• Performs daily pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Assists location and Feed Mill Operator with duties to meet production schedule.
• Keeps interiors and exteriors clean to project a positive image.
• Maintains valid Class A CDL with endorsements; DOT physical required.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Drives truck to destination.
• Maintains truck log, according to state and federal regulations.
• Maintains telephone or radio contact with supervisor to receive delivery instructions.
• Loads and unloads truck. Cleans compartment after unloading as necessary to avoid contamination.
• Inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water.
• Performs routine maintenance on vehicle, including but not limited to, daily pre and post trip inspections.
• Assist location and Feed Mill Operator with operational duties, as time allows, ensuring an efficient production schedule.
• Ensure trucks promote a positive image of Peco Foods, Inc. by keeping the interiors and exteriors clean as conditions allow.
• Maintain a valid Class A CDL Commercial Drivers License with proper endorsements and commercial insurability at all times. Valid DOT physical is also required.
