As a Driver Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating the delivery operations of our aftermarket collision auto part business. You will be responsible for supervising a team of delivery drivers, ensuring efficient and on-time deliveries, upholding best practices, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Your strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment will be essential in achieving our business objectives.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Delivery Drivers and Leads

Duties/Responsibilities:

  1. Supervise a team of delivery drivers, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to ensure excellent service delivery.
  2. Develop and implement delivery schedules, routes, and procedures to optimize efficiency and meet customer expectations.
  3. Monitor and maintain accurate records of delivery activities, including driver logs, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance.
  4. Coordinate with the sales and customer service teams to ensure timely and accurate order processing and delivery.
  5. Conduct regular inspections of delivery vehicles to ensure they are clean, properly maintained, and in compliance with safety regulations.
  6. Collaborate with the warehouse team to ensure accurate inventory management and proper loading of delivery vehicles.
  7. Resolve any delivery-related issues, such as delays, missed deliveries, and customer complaints, in a prompt and professional manner.
  8. Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to delivery operations and make recommendations for process improvements.
  9. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal transportation regulations, including driver licensing, vehicle registration, and insurance requirements.
  10. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork, open communication, and a strong work ethic among delivery drivers.
  11. Collaborate with other departments, including sales and warehouse, to ensure efficient and effective delivery of products.
  12. Oversee the accurate and timely submission of payroll activities, including timekeeping, approvals of PTO, scheduling, etc.
  13. Can hold their team accountable up to and including issuing progressive disciplinary action.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent; additional relevant certifications or training in logistics or transportation management is a plus.
  2. Proven experience in a supervisory or management role, preferably in a delivery or logistics setting.
  3. In-depth knowledge of delivery operations, including route planning, driver scheduling, and vehicle maintenance.
  4. Familiarity with the aftermarket collision auto part industry and understanding of parts compatibility and ordering processes.
  5. Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  6. Strong organizational and time management abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
  7. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
  8. Proficient computer skills and familiarity with delivery management software and systems.
  9. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  10. Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in transportation operations.
