Job summary

Herbruck's Poultry Ranch in Michigan is hiring a Transportation Driver responsible for delivering poultry to and from farm locations while upholding our quality standards. You will perform daily DOT inspections, ensure loads are secured, and maintain truck cleanliness.

The role requires a valid CDL-A, 2 years' trucking experience, and ability to read and speak English. Weekend and holiday shifts may be required; benefits include PTO, healthcare, and a 401(k) match.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid CDL-A preferred.
• 2 years' experience driving truck, delivery experience preferred.
• Able to read and speak English.
• Willing to work weekends and holidays.
• Physical ability to lift up to 55 lbs, occasionally 100 lbs.
• Must comply with animal welfare and biosecurity reporting.
• No contact with swine, birds, or cattle.

To perform all functions of Transportation and care of Poultry to and from farm locations to the highest of Herbruck's quality standards.

Full Time

Responsibilities

• Deliver Poultry to and from farms with professionalism.
• Maintain high quality care for our Birds
• Ensure load is properly secured and loaded
• Maintain truck cleanliness and in good operating conditions.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
• Perform daily DOT inspection of equipment
• Comply with FMCSA rules and regulations for DOT hours of service and compliance
• Comply with Herbruck's and DOT policies and required training
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Valid CDL-A preferred
• Experience driving 53' Trailer
• Be able to proficiently read and speak the English language
• Good communication skills
• 2 years' experience driving truck, delivery experience preferred
• Willing to work a flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays as assigned
• Physical ability to perform essential functions of the job, able to work with birds directly
• Ability to comply with the strictest standards for animal welfare and to report incidents of abuse neglect, or breach of biosecurity to preserve the health and welfare of our birds
• Does not own or maintain routine contact with swine, birds or cattle
