Job summary

Chromalloy is seeking a Driver / Shipping & Receiving Clerk to support safe movement of materials, products, and employees. The role blends shipping/receiving duties with shuttle driving and requires adherence to safety and accuracy in documentation.

The position operates on a 3rd shift (12:00a–8:00a) with a $3.00 shift differential, and requires lifting up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 100 lbs occasionally. You will work with internal teams and vendors to ensure material flow and compliance.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED or equivalent work experience.
• 1+ year of shipping, receiving, warehouse, logistics, transportation, or related experience.
• Valid driver's license with a safe driving record.
• Ability to communicate in English and follow instructions.
• Basic computer skills including data entry and barcode scanning.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
• Adherence to safety procedures in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Transport employees safely between designated parking areas and the facility at the start and end of shifts.
• Receive, inspect, count, and verify incoming shipments against PO, invoices, and shipping docs.
• Prepare, package, label, and process outgoing shipments for timely delivery.
• Load, unload, and move materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, etc.
• Route incoming materials to appropriate departments.
• Maintain shipping, receiving, and inventory records using scanning/computer systems.
• Monitor inventory levels of shipping supplies and packaging materials.
• Assist with handling hazardous materials and waste per procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and transport providers to optimize material flow.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Transport employees safely between designated parking areas and the facility at the beginning and end of assigned shifts.
• Receive, inspect, count, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders, invoices, and shipping documentation.
• Prepare, package, label, and process outgoing shipments to ensure accurate and timely delivery.
• Load, unload, and move materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other material handling equipment.
• Route incoming materials and products to the appropriate departments.

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent work experience.
• 1+ year of shipping, receiving, warehouse, logistics, transportation, or related experience.
• Valid driver's license with a safe driving record.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Basic computer skills, including data entry and barcode scanning systems.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations and accurately verify counts and quantities.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment and follow all safety procedures.

Nice to Have

• Previous experience operating forklifts or other material handling equipment.
• Forklift certification or ability to become certified.
• Experience with shipping and receiving software or inventory management systems.
• Experience handling hazardous materials or familiarity with DOT and RCRA requirements.
• Experience in a manufacturing, aerospace, warehouse, or distribution environment.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Regular standing, walking, reaching, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling throughout the workday.
• Frequent lifting and movement of materials and packages.
• Use of forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other material handling equipment.
• Work performed in a manufacturing and warehouse environment with exposure to moving equipment, noise, and industrial materials.
• Ability to safely operate company vehicles used for employee transportation.
