Job summary

Chromalloy in Tampa, FL is seeking a Driver / Shipping & Receiving Clerk to support the safe movement of materials and employee transportation, combining shipping and receiving duties with shuttle driving during the 1st shift.

You will verify shipments, prepare outbound packages, operate forklifts, track inventory, and coordinate with teams and vendors to ensure accurate, timely deliveries while maintaining safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1+ year experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse, logistics, or related field.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• English communication ability and ability to follow instructions.
• Basic computer skills including data entry and barcode scanning.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and 100 pounds occasionally.
• Safety-conscious in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Transport employees safely between designated parking areas and the facility at shift start and end.
• Receive, inspect, count, and verify incoming shipments against PO, invoices, and shipping docs.
• Prepare, package, label, and process outgoing shipments for timely delivery.
• Load, unload, and move materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other handling equipment.
• Route incoming materials to appropriate departments.
• Maintain shipping, receiving, and inventory records using scanning and computer systems.
• Monitor inventory levels of shipping supplies and packaging materials.
• Assist with handling, movement, and shipment of hazardous materials per procedures and regs.
• Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and transportation providers to ensure smooth material flow.

Job Summary

We're looking for a Driver / Shipping & Receiving Clerk to support the safe and efficient movement of materials, products, and employees throughout our facility. This role combines shipping and receiving responsibilities with shuttle driving duties, helping ensure materials are delivered accurately, inventory is maintained, and employees are transported safely to and from designated parking areas.

Shift: 1st shift, Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:00pm

What You'll Be Doing

• Transport employees safely between designated parking areas and the facility at the beginning and end of assigned shifts.
• Receive, inspect, count, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders, invoices, and shipping documentation.
• Prepare, package, label, and process outgoing shipments to ensure accurate and timely delivery.
• Load, unload, and move materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other material handling equipment.
• Route incoming materials and products to the appropriate departments.
• Maintain shipping, receiving, and inventory records using scanning and computer systems.
• Monitor inventory levels of shipping supplies and packaging materials.
• Support the handling, movement, and shipment of hazardous materials and waste in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Work closely with internal teams, vendors, and transportation providers to ensure efficient material flow.

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent work experience.
• 1+ year of shipping, receiving, warehouse, logistics, transportation, or related experience.
• Valid driver's license with a safe driving record.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Basic computer skills, including data entry and barcode scanning systems.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations and accurately verify counts and quantities.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment and follow all safety procedures.

Nice to Have

• Previous experience operating forklifts or other material handling equipment.
• Forklift certification or ability to become certified.
• Experience with shipping and receiving software or inventory management systems.
• Experience handling hazardous materials or familiarity with DOT and RCRA requirements.
• Experience in a manufacturing, aerospace, warehouse, or distribution environment.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Regular standing, walking, reaching, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling throughout the workday.
• Frequent lifting and movement of materials and packages.
• Use of forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other material handling equipment.
• Work performed in a manufacturing and warehouse environment with exposure to moving equipment, noise, and industrial materials.
