Job summary

LION TotalCare, Inc. is seeking a dependable Driver / Shipping-Receiving Clerk in Sanford, FL. You will operate a delivery vehicle to pick up and deliver firefighter PPE, assist with receiving, cleaning, and shipping of gear, and maintain accurate records.

The role requires a clean driving record, ability to lift 50 pounds, and strong organizational skills. Hours are 7:00 am - 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday, with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Experience with Outlook/Teams and warehouse systems is a plus.
• Strong time-management and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive and deliver firefighter gear to designated fire stations on a scheduled route.
• Receive, log, and track gear as it arrives and is issued for cleaning.
• Operate cleaning processes and document cleaning types for each garment.
• Prepare garments for shipment, labels, and shipping documents; maintain shipping area cleanliness.

LION is an international company that operates in three markets: the emergency services, military and civilian agency uniforms, and personal equipment markets. LION serves a global customer base of fire departments, military installations, institutions, corporate organizations, and training companies from multiple offices around the world.

We are seeking a dependable, experienced Driver / Shipping-Receiving Clerk to become a vital part of our TotalCare team. Physical strength and stamina, as well as a clean driving record, are needed. You must be organized, efficient, and professional at all times while ensuring deliveries are made accurately and on time. When not driving, you will assist with activities associated with receiving, cleaning, and shipping of Firefighter PPE gear.

Location: 111 Central Park Place, Suite 103/105, Sanford, FL, 32771

Hours: Monday to Friday 7:00 am - 3:30 pm. Must be flexible and willing to work overtime when needed to meet client needs.

Reports to: TotalCare Center Manager

Starting Rate: $19.00 - $20.00 / hour

Duties and Responsibilities:

Delivery Driver

• Safely and efficiently operate a delivery cargo van or truck to pick-up and deliver firefighter gear to designated fire stations.
• Follow set, scheduled route for daily pick-ups and deliveries.
• Ensure products are delivered in a timely manner.
• Load and organize gear from warehouse into your vehicle and unload gear in and out of the van as needed throughout the day.
• Check in with warehouse on delivery progress as needed.
• Report any accidents or vehicle issues encountered while enroute, to supervisors.
• Follow rules and regulations of the road at all times.
• Follow all company and state enforced safety requirements for loading and unloading product.

Receiving

• Log firefighter gear received into our tracking system
• Query database for customer special instructions
• Create job and production work order
• Unassembled garments and tag for tracking
• Process garments received according to cleaning type
• Receive orders from vendors and match to purchase orders

Cleaning

• Assess dirty protective garments to determine most appropriate cleaning process
• Operate industrial laundry machines and perform cleaning according to pre-determined type
• Follow established procedures for type of cleaning
• Record cleaning and type of cleaning for each garment

Shipping

• Prepare garments for shipment – fold, bag, and label
• Prepare shipping document required – FedEx or Route delivery.
• Pack cartons or prepare for delivery
• Maintain cleanliness and good housekeeping in shipping & receiving area.
• Other duties as needed.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Professional and pleasant disposition, able to give all clients a positive customer service experience.
• Experience working with computers including Outlook, Teams, and warehouse tracking systems.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. NO CDL required.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Previous experience in route driving is a plus.
• Physically fit and strong, able to lift 50 pounds comfortably.
• Hearing and vision required to be within normal ranges with or without correction.
• Candidate should be dependable, hardworking and an effective communicator.
• Excellent time-management and organizational skills required.
• Experience within a computerized warehouse, industrial laundry, and/or product maintenance environment considered a huge asset.
