Job summary

Sikeston Orgill, Inc. is seeking a Delivery Driver to support the distribution center by delivering hardware merchandise to Orgill customers and accepting returns. The role requires compliance with DOT regulations, hands-on unloading, and daily paperwork.

Candidates must have a Class A license with HazMat and doubles endorsements, at least two years of tractor-trailer experience, and a clean driving record. Overnight shifts may be required, with a strong focus on safety and service.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years’ tractor driving experience; double trailers preferred.
• Willing to work overnights a few nights per week.

• On-site attendance and predictability essential.

Responsibilities

• Must understand how to manage customer merchandise in a timely and safe manner.
• Must be able to direct traffic in the event of an accident or breakdown.
• Must be able to climb in and out of the cab of truck several times per day.
• Ability to take direction from Supervisor.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Ability to rotate and assist in other jobs.

Description

Primarily responsible for the support of the DC by efficiently delivering hardware related merchandise to Orgill, Inc. customers. The Delivery Driver also picks up customer returns and empty totes and transports them to the DC.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

• Must understand DOT regulations and safety related functions.

REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

• Must possess a current Class A license and HazMat endorsement. Doubles required.
• Must have past two years minimum tractor driving experience. Preferably experience pulling double trailers.
• Must be willing and able to work as needed – minimum of two nights overnight may be required.
• Must have excellent driving history.
• Must be committed to a high standard of safety and willing to comply with all safety policies/practices.
• Ability to interact effectively with other departments and all levels of management
• Attention to detail essential and demonstrated problem solving skills
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to maintain records accurately
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize work and to meet deadlines
