Job summary

MorningStar Senior Living in Boise, Idaho is seeking a full-time Driver to transport residents to and from scheduled destinations. The role focuses on safe operation of community transportation vehicles and resident well-being, with a Monday–Friday schedule.

Starting pay is $20.00 per hour, DOE, non-exempt. This position offers standard benefits and opportunities for advancement within MorningStar Senior Living.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience: 3-6 months experience in a driving position preferably with senior adults.
• Must possess a valid State driver’s license and appropriate driving record.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
• Excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive residents to and from scheduled destinations such as doctor’s appointments and errands.
• Monitor residents' well-being and report changes to supervisor.
• Possibly train other drivers on safety.
• Maintain records for community vehicles and related costs.
• Coordinate mileage with gas expenses and report quarterly to management.
• Report billable hours for residents and comply with Driver guidelines.

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for driving the residents to and from scheduled destinations. Responsible for the safe and effective operation of all Community transportation vehicles.

• Drive residents to and from specified destinations such as doctor’s appointments, grocery shopping and other errands.
• Monitors residents' overall well-being and reports any changes of resident status to supervisor.
• May be responsible for driver safety training of other operators.
• Responsible for record keeping of community vehicles preventative maintenance needs and costs associated with those needs.
• Responsible for verifying coordination of mileage record with gas expenses.
• Responsible for quarterly report to management.
• Responsible for reporting billable hours for residents.
• Complies with all Driver and Motor Vehicle guidelines.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience: 3-6 months experience in a driving position preferably with senior adults, knowledge of streets in Denver Metro area and the ability to navigate to and from destinations, must possess a valid State driver’s license and appropriate driving record, must be able to read, write, and speak English, must possess excellent customer service skills.
• Job Knowledge : Ability to drive and maintain various types of vehicles.
