Job summary

Seaton Senior Living is seeking a Driver to provide safe, timely transportation for residents to activities and appointments. You will help residents board and exit, secure wheelchairs, and communicate with the base station during trips.

The role requires maintaining vehicles, handling registrations, and documenting vehicle condition. A CDL may be required and prior customer service in a senior living setting is preferred. This is a full-time position with every other weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 21 years or older.
• Current CDL may be required with an acceptable driving record under DOT regulations.
• Experience in customer service environment, preferably in a senior living setting.
• Must be knowledgeable of safety precautions and comply with safety measures.
• Competent in organization, time management skills and handling multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely and courteous transportation for residents to and from activities.
• Assist disabled passengers into and out of the vehicle.
• Secure passengers' wheelchairs to restraining devices to stabilize wheelchairs during trips.
• Safely operate radio, cell phone or pager to communicate with base station or other vehicles.
• Maintain community vehicles in good working condition.
• Clean and service vehicle with fuel, lubricants, and accessories.
• Assist with vehicle registration and license plates renewal process.
• Inspect and document vehicle condition monthly and per trip.

• Competent in organization, time management skills and handling multiple priorities.
